Behind every kitchen we design and fit is Steve, a time-served joiner with more than 35 years in the building industry. He spent his career on building sites and in workshops long before he ever picked up a kitchen brochure, and that trade background is still at the heart of how Wirral Kitchens & Interiors works today.
More than 35 years in the trade, and a KBB Kitchen Retailer of the Year Finalist award along the way, but Steve is still on-site and directly involved in every project he takes on, not just behind a desk.
Installed and forgotten is not how Steve works.

The People Behind It
Wirral Kitchens & Interiors is a family business, run from one showroom at Hilbre Business Park in Hoylake. Steve is on-site and directly involved in every project he takes on. Elaine joined full time in December 2025 and looks after the organisation and customer care behind it.
The building work, electrics, plumbing and the fit are carried out by a trusted team of trades, coordinated by us from start to finish — so whatever stage your project is at, there is one point of contact.

Bespoke Design & Premium Supply
Most suppliers stop at design and supply. WKI manages the whole project from day one. We design, specify, and supply everything, then coordinate every trade required to deliver it.
Structural Works & Alterations
Before a single cabinet goes in, the space has to be right. We handle all structural alterations, wall removals, RSJ steels, plastering, and flooring as part of the same project.
Electrics, Plumbing & Full Fit
Electrics, plumbing, gas and the full fit are carried out by our trusted team of trades. WKI coordinates a trusted team of trades from start to finish, with one point of contact. Nothing handed off.

From your design visit to completed installation, most projects take between six and twelve weeks. The installation itself is typically one to two weeks. You will have a confirmed timeline before any work begins.
Completely. Design, cabinetry, appliances, plumbing, electrics, tiling, and plastering are all part of one coordinated project. WKI coordinates a trusted team of trades from start to finish, with one point of contact. Everything joined up.
